This has been an awesome christmas

I have had an awesome X-mas. I got a laptop notebook. One of those little laptops. I also got the Twilight movie companion, and much more. From my grandma I got a lot of clothes, violin case, and one of Grandma Flowers dolls. Grandma Flower is my great grandma who died a couple of years ago. I am so glad that I got a laptop. I got messanger to. Any of ypu have a messanger. I would love to add you. Well I hope you guys had had a great Christmas. I would love to hear your stories. Sometimes we get to carried away with presents but we must still remember the true meaning of Christmas.

Goodbye School Hello Winter Break

Last Friday was are last day of school before winter break. That Friday we performed with are rock bands. We were called the Burger Queens. We sang the Ding Fries are done song ( the song is on my playlist if you want to listen to it) We rocked, we had those bells you use at restaurants when they say "order up". It was a blast. I was also thankful it was the last day till winter break. I have had a pretty nice winter break so far. Got presents from my grammie on Sunday, slept over at my Grandma Starrs house Monday. Tuesday we celebrated Grandpa Starrs b-day at Golden Corral. It was a blast. We reserved the private room their called the "Emporium"! We had good food and Angie came up with a cool quiz game. Here was one of the questions. When did grandpa get his first T.V? A) early 1970's B) early 1950's C) early 1960's D) early 1940's. I'll give you the answer at the bottom of the post. a baby, snow, christmas, how much more can I fit into a week?

This week has been a very stressful, happy week. First off Jane Helm had her fourth child this Monday at 5:50pm. It was a girl and her name is Olivia Jane Helm!!!! She was 6lbs 6oz. We watched the kids for them Monday and Tuesday. Congrats Jane and Family!! Also on Tuesday when I woke up everything was covered in snow. It has been cold all week and hard to do stuff out side. Today I played with the kids in the snow but it got so cold that I had to go outside after five minutes because it was so cold. I have also been busy with Christmas. Buying Christmas gifts for people and doing stuff at school. At school we are creating rock bands and performing songs with are rock bands on Friday. I will post about it when we do it. Well I hope you have a nice rest of the week!

Aren't Saturday's the greatest thing

Saturdays is one of the best days of the week for kids who go to school. I'm sure for parents it is the other way around because then everyone is just making mess and messing around when you want to get some work done. Today was a very good Saturday. 1. I got to really sleep in. I have had a cold with horrible coughing and I keep waking up of coughing attacks. 2. I got to stay in my PJ's all morning! 3. I got to go to my grandmas house and help her decorate the house for Christmas. 4. I got to spend a little time with my family. I usually have to wake up at 6:15am in the morning today I got to sleeping till 10:00am. I did not have to get to my regular clothes right away. My grandma needed help decorating the house so I did that for a couple hrs. She also helped me with my parents Christmas gift. When I got home I had a nice loving family to welcome me home. This all equals one thing. A PRICELESS SATURDAY!!!!!!

Frosty the Snowman is DEAD

Yesterday we watched the Helm kids because Jane Helm had a false alarm at the hospital. We had homemade pizza for dinner and so the boys pizza was done before Katie and I's pizza was done. When our pizza was done we came and sat the table, and the boys had made up a song. This song was called Frosty the Snowman is Dead! They were singing it in the most silliest versions. Johnny and Bryant were the ones who made it up and they were having the funnest time. Don't ask me how they got this idea to make a song about Frosty the Snowman dieing. They made several versions where they sang the song in different ways. Every time Bryant would do his crying version Johnny would laugh so hard that it would make everyone laugh. So I made this video of me recording Bryant and Johnny singing their versions of Frosty the Snowman is Dead!

Today we put the Christmas ornaments on the tree. I was going through my ornaments when I found the ornament I got from my grammie last Christmas. This ornament is a Christmas Tree made out of cell phones. This has got to be one of my favorite ornaments. I was looking at the box and on the back their was a little poem that goes to this ornament and want to share this poem with you.

I am Thankful for................

It is the eve before Thanksgiving and all day I have been thinking what I could put on my blog. then it popped in my head I could put what I am thankful for. There are a lot of thing that I am thankful for but I had to narrow it down. So here is my list in no particular order.
1.a cellphone to talk to people on
2.a sister that loves to do things with me
3.Every year if I made a list my parents would be on it. I thought that I should put special talents I am thankful for. One of them is my mom's creative cooking mind.
4.Dads technology skills
5.A baby cousin that when ever I come to see her she gives me the biggest smile that brightens my day.
6. A nice cozy bedroom
7.Two pesky brothers that sometimes ok most of the time mess with me but hey if their was not brothers on the earth my life would be pretty boring. AKA Bryant was being a brother and would not let me take a picture with him in it.

Though a lot of us only remember Thanksgiving as a day with Turkey, and mashed potatoes we should always remember that on this day we should remember what we are thankful for.

Temple Trip

Yesterday the Emporia Ward youth went to the Oklahoma temple. It was really fun. There was 2 things that were really cool about it. 1.My mom got her ancestors names done and ready for me to baptize. I got to baptize my great, great, grandma who lived till I was three years old. 2. is that I got to go with my friends. We went in Bishop East car. After we were done in the temple we went for Chinese food. The way back was probably the craziest. We danced to Bishop East music on his Ipod. It was a blast. He had some really cool eighties songs on their that we danced in the back of the car to. I made a video of pictures from my trip. GO TWILIGHT MOVIE

Today I saw the Twilight movie with Alyssa,Tonetta,and my mom. I have to say that the movie was really good. There were some scenes in the movie that are not in the book but really fit in the movie. You can see all the Twilight stuff I added. I AM A TRUE TWILIGHT ADDICT. You can say that this girl is the craziest Twilight fan I have ever seen but a girl has to be a fan of something. Lets get back to talking about the movie. I would give this movie a 9 1/2 10 out of 10. I might even go see the movie again when my dad goes and sees it, so that tells you that I really liked it. My favorite character in the movie is Edward. Well I should probably stop or I will start to spoil the movie for those of you have not seen it. So this is the biggest Twilight fan in KS signing off.

Young Woman Excellence

Young Women Excellence was this Wednesday. I had a really good time.All of the Young Women and to do a presentation on what they were working on. I got pictures of my friends presentations but I never got a picture of mine. I will get a picture of it soon and I will post it right away. The first picture is a picture of us eating pumpkin pie and my friend Mia being silly. The next picture is a picture of Hailey Easts project. She did a comic book on the ten commandments. Yes she drew this all by herself. The next one is Alyssa's presentation on one of her Good Works experiences. She had to take care of a pig. The last one is a picture of Mia's Knowledge experience poster on her being in Chorus. My poster was a picture of three Knowledge experiences I have been working on. I would just like to say that Personal Progress is a really good program and that I have enjoyed doing it.

I'm a girl who likes watching old T.V shows

Usually a girl my age loves watching T.V shows that are in the trend right now or T.V shows that have a lot of gossip and drama. Yes I do like some show like that but I am a girl who likes watching old T.V shows as well. The old T.V show I am watching right now is Growing Pains. We have the first season on DVD but I watch the rest of the seasons on the internet. I am on season four and loving it. Yes I do like Cosby show to for those of you who guessed that but right now I am a Growing Pains girl. I love shows that are about a family like the Growing Pains, and Cosby Show. I LOVE REESES PEANUT BUTTER CUPS

My poll question last week was what was my favorite candy bar, and only one of you guessed right. It is Reese's Peanut butter cups. I love those candy bars. My sister Faith got me into them. When ever my mom and I are at the store and she wants to know if I want to buy a candy bar I always say Reese's Peanut Butter cups or Reese's Whipped. Reese's whipped are like a peanut butter that is very fluffy in side the candy bar. I want to know what type of poll questions you would like me to ask. Costumes+friends+Candy=Halloween

I had a great Halloween this year. I dressed up with my friend Alyssa as Smartie Pants and Dum Dum. She was the Smartie Pants with Smarties on her pants, and I was the Dum Dum with dum dums all over me. Now it is time to tell you about my great Halloween night. We started off by having friends and family come to our house for hot dogs and chili for dinner. After that we went to the ward trunk or treat for about a 1/2 hour. We then went trick or treating with our friends to my Grandma Newkirks, Aunt Tonyas house, and our old street Rural Street. We then went back to our house and Alyssa, Katie, Savanna, and I went trick or treating on Belmont Ct. and Old Manor. We got some good stuff. When we were done trick or treating went back home traded candy and talked till everyone had to go home. I had a great Halloween with my friends. I'll have to say that I have a tons of candy but it will be gone soon. This is little off of the subject but my background is a Twilight background in honer of the movie coming to theaters this month!!! Well Happy late Halloween.

Last night was mutual and I got some pictures that turned out pretty funny.The first picture is Hailey East drawing and listing to music (she wasn't really pleased with this picture.) The next picture is Erin East writing the answers to the game we were playing in mutual. The rest of the pictures are pictures of my BFF Alyssa and me being silly in the gym. The first one is me running with my hair kind of over my face. The next next two is Alyssa running and leaping pretending to make a basket in the basketball hoop. This next one is a very awkward picture (very awkward.) I was dancing on the chair and she got a picture of me in a very awkward pose. The wierdest and the cutest costumes I've seen!

Last night I went to my friend Abby's Halloween party.It was a blast. Their was food, and more food, music, and more, but the coolest thing there was the costumes people had created. So I thought I would share some of those costumes with you. I don't have pictures from the party but I'll see if I can find pictures of the costumes on the internet (DON'T YOU JUST LOVE THE INTERNET!)So are fifth best costume was the goth costume. This girl said she just borrowed her brothers baggy black pants, one of her brothers humongous shirts, and lots of eyeliner. Are fourth best costume was the incredible hulk. This girl just got an incredible hulk mask, incredible hulk t-shirt, and incredible hulk boxers. Are third best costume was the eighties girl. This girl looked just like an eighties girl (even though I wasn't around during the eighties.) She had the crazy hair and bangs (which must of used tons of hairspray) and a cute outfit. Are second place outfit is the bumblebee. My friend Abby had this really cute costume that I wish I could of wore it for halloween. It was a leather short sleeve dress with yellow stiripes and cute antenas. Now it's the time you've been waiting for the number one costume. THE STOPLIGHT!!!! This costume was the coolist costume yet. She was wearing a costume that was a stop light and switched from red, yellow green. Now for those people who really need a costume idea maybe one of these crazy ideas will help you out.

Dancing with the Stars

I had you guys take a poll on who you think was going to win Dancing with the Stars. The results came out to be that you guys thought that Brooke Burke was going to win. I really don't know who is going to win yet. Some of my favorite people are, Brooke Burke, Toni Braxton, Lance Bass, and Cody Linley. On far as who is the funniest on that show it is definitely Cloris Leachman.

Guess What I'm doing for YW camp next year?????

Well as most of you know that every summer the all the YW in the stake goes to YW camp. Well 2009's Camp we are calling a YW experience, because we are going to Nauvoo and going to stay in a house and a hotel!!! We are also going to Nauvoo in buses that have bathrooms in them, and have little T.V's for every pair of seats. See why they didn't call it YW camp!!!! But the reason I am really excited for this next YW experience is because two maybe four of my best friends will get to go to camp with me, and especially that my mom wants to go with me to Nauvoo!!!!

Last Sunday when I put stuff about my sister Faith, Bryant really wanted to put something on my blog. When I said no I was too busy he then wanted to create his own blog. SO when I was thinking of what I should put on my blog I decided to put something about my brother Bryant. First off I'll say the basic facts about him he's seven years old and is in Mrs. Korte's 2nd grade class. Bryant loves to catch little animals and bugs like spiders, caterpillars,fish, snakes, etc. Bryant is also one of the biggest Pokemon lovers I know. I'm am a total anti Pokemon person. Never in a million years would you catch anything Pokemon on my blog but in honer of my brother I will put a Pokemon picture on here just for him. Bryant also plays the violin, and will eat anything you make. His favorite restaurant is Red Lobster (because he loves shrimp). Well I hope when Bryant sees this on my blog it'll make his day a little better!

It's called the men are out at Priesthood and the women are all alone

As some of you know that yesterday was the priesthood session. Angie came over while the men were there and we did some fun stuff while the men were gone. The boys have been sick so it was just Angie, Mom, Faith, and I doing stuff. Angie and I attempted to make caramel apples. I say we did a pretty good job for a first timer. While we were doing that my mom was playing with Lily, and as for Faith she just was just going around the house saying I'm hungry and couldn't wait for caramel apples. The apples might not look like the perfect caramel apple but it doesn't matter about the look of the caramel apple it matters about the taste!!! I got the recipe off of Family Fun (love that magazine). I thought I would share some pictures from our night and the recipe of the caramel apples.

1 1/2 tbsp. butter
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
6 tbsp. water
Popsicle sticks
8 to 10 apples

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Add the brown sugar and water. Stir until it has a smooth consistency. Gently bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 3 minutes, until the pan's sides get steamy and the mixture is thin but somewhat sticky. Remove from heat. Pierce the center of each apple with a Popsicle stick, then swirl in the caramel syrup until coated. Place apples on a greased cookie sheet to harden. Refrigerate for at least 1 to 2 hours. Serves 8 to 10.

Poll question #2 (I LOVE TWILIGHT)

IF you haven't guessed by the title last weeks poll question answer was Twilight. I love Twilight and I am on the 4th book. Next month when the movie comes to theaters I will do this twilight background I found. Before I started these books everyone were going these books are the best books in the world. I was sort of ignoring what they were saying until one day I was really bored and I had this idea come to my mind that maybe I should give these books out. In 48 hrs I finished the book. I have now gotten my 2 other friends reading the books and loving them(hint, hint Katie and Alyssa). Alyssa, Mia, and I plan on going to the movie on opening night. CAN'T Wait. I will post a entry when I see the movie. For all of you who haven't read Twilight I encourage you to read them.
